Job summary

Blanchard Valley Health System seeks an environmental services associate to uphold cleanliness and safety in patient, visitor and staff areas. You will perform a seven-step cleaning process, manage waste, and assist in maintaining a safe hospital environment.

The role requires basic math, English proficiency, and strong customer service. A high school diploma or GED is preferred. This position offers a $1,000 sign-on bonus for full-time employment and a shift in the Ohio Findlay area.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak English to follow directions and document work.
• Knowledge of simple mathematics for supply usage and reorders.
• Ability to inventory various counts and track supplies.
• Positive service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe environment in patient, visitor and staff areas according to standards.
• Clean and sanitize floors and equipment; perform occasional special cleaning projects.
• Operate cleaning equipment and report repairs toService Response Center as needed.
• Handle linens and waste per procedures and safety guidelines.
• Provide excellent customer service through clear communication and professionalism.
• Respond to emergency codes as a first responder and participate in safety drills.
• Complete documentation such as daily sheets and time records within set timeframes.
