Job summary

Blanchard Valley Health System seeks a diligent Environmental Services Associate to perform day-to-day housekeeping in patient, visitor and employee areas. Ensures a neat, clean and safe environment in line with Joint Commission and regulatory standards.

The role includes operating cleaning equipment, handling linens, trash disposal and providing excellent customer service. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is offered; read, write and speak English required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak English to follow directions and document status.
• Knowledge of basic mathematics for supply usage and reordering.
• Inventory/tracking of supplies and counts.
• Positive, service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform seven-step cleaning and maintain neat, safe facilities.
• Clean and sanitize floors, equipment and beds; assist with special projects.
• Operate cleaning equipment and report repairs promptly.
• Handle clean and soiled linens; manage trash disposal.
• Provide excellent customer service with professional communication.
• Data entry, basic computer tasks and time management.
• Respond to identified emergency codes as a first responder.
• Restock, inventory and replenish supplies as needed.
• Move furniture and equipment safely using proper body mechanics.
• Submit required departmental documentation within set time frames.
• Participate in training, in-services, performance improvement and customer service activities.
