Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is hiring Environmental Services staff to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. You will clean patient areas daily, follow infection control practices, and communicate with patients and staff to promote a positive hospital experience.

You will also assist with non-patient area cleaning, ensure proper PPE use, and follow confidentiality policies while learning the NaviCare system and basic computer tasks.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing, and math skills required.
• Customer service skills preferred.
• Willingness to learn hospital systems and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Clean patient areas daily with approved germicides and cleaning chemicals.
• Use wet floor signs and alerts for slippery or hazardous conditions.
• Follow infection control procedures and proper PPE usage.
• Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure a safe patient experience.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and closets per policy.
• Clean non-patient areas and discharge rooms to prep for new admissions.
• Interact daily with patients and visitors with a service mindset.
• Adhere to confidentiality policies and complete annual safety tests.
• Learn NaviCare bed tracking and other required computer tasks.
