Job summary

Redeemer Health is seeking an Environmental Services worker to perform a wide range of cleaning duties across the hospital, using specialized equipment and chemicals to maintain a clean, safe, aseptic environment for patients, staff and the public.

This role supports the mission by upholding high standards of sanitation and teamwork, with strong reading, writing and verbal communication skills and the ability to cross-train in additional tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED strongly desired.
• Good reading, writing and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to become competent in essential functions within 2–3 months.
• Willingness to cross-train and assist with tasks outside regular duties when needed.

Responsibilities

• Performs a wide range of cleaning duties across hospital areas.
• Uses specialized housekeeping equipment and chemicals.
• Maintains a clean, safe and aseptic environment for patients, staff and the public.
• Supports infection prevention and safety protocols.
• Works as part of a team to ensure timely cleaning and turnover.
