This hybrid position will include General Housekeeping and Floor Technician duties at Merit Health Wesley Wellness Center. The candidate will work with clinical areas, ensuring compliance with OSHA and hospital standards

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in environmental services, housekeeping, custodial work, or healthcare facility maintenance required.
• Experience in terminal cleaning, waste management, and advanced floor care techniques in a healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs advanced floor care, including stripping, waxing, buffing, deep-cleaning carpets, and operating floor maintenance equipment.
• Handles hazardous, infectious, and noninfectious waste, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and hospital policies.
• Executes terminal cleaning and disinfection procedures in high-risk areas such as operating rooms and ICUs.
• Trains and mentors new Environmental Services team members, ensuring adherence to infection control protocols.
• Assists with special projects like construction cleanup, deep cleaning initiatives, and emergency response cleaning efforts.
• Monitors and replenishes cleaning supplies, reporting inventory shortages and minimizing waste.
