Community Health Systems, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Service Worker I to maintain clean, safe, and welcoming patient areas. Responsibilities include sanitizing rooms, hallways, and restrooms, and supporting routine floor care and waste management per infection control standards.

The role requires the ability to operate cleaning equipment safely, manage supplies, and communicate effectively with staff and visitors while upholding HIPAA and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years cleaning or environmental service experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent not stated, but preferred experience may suffice.

Responsabilités

• Cleans and sanitizes rooms, corridors, and common areas per infection control standards.
• Sweeps, mops, vacuums, and dusts floors and surfaces using proper tools.
• Maintains floors and surfaces through basic maintenance practices.
• Washes walls, windows, and other surfaces to uphold cleanliness.
• Restocks supplies and monitors inventory for shortages.
• Handles trash and biohazardous materials following safety and HIPAA protocols.
• Operates and maintains cleaning equipment and reports malfunctions.
• Assists with minor repairs and notifies supervisors of larger issues.
• Performs other duties as assigned and maintains punctual attendance.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
