Job summary

Aerotek seeks an Environmental Services (EVS) Technician to keep a hospital environment clean, safe, and sanitary. You will perform housekeeping in patient rooms, discharge areas, and public spaces to meet strict sanitation standards in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

This contract-to-hire role in Round Rock, TX offers multiple shifts and requires at least 1 year of housekeeping or janitorial experience, with lifting up to 75 pounds and steady standing throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of housekeeping or janitorial experience.
• Experience in a hospital or hotel environment is preferred.
• Comfortable working in a medical environment, including exposure to blood, trauma, and other clinical conditions.
• Ability to lift and push 50–75 pounds as part of daily duties.
• Ability to stand and be on your feet for 6–8 hours per day.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize patient rooms, including occupied and discharge rooms, according to hospital standards and protocols.
• Clean and maintain public areas such as lobbies, corridors, restrooms, waiting areas, and other common spaces throughout the hospital.
• Wipe down and disinfect high-touch surfaces, furniture, fixtures, and equipment to support infection control and patient safety.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in patient rooms, hallways, and public areas to maintain a clean and orderly environment.
• Collect, remove, and properly dispose of trash, waste, and soiled materials from patient rooms and public spaces.
