McPherson Hospital Inc. is seeking an Environmental Technician (EVS) to help provide a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The role handles indoor environments, waste management, and routine cleaning, with day and evening shifts available.

The EVS Technician participates in infection control, safe practices, and customer service aligned with hospital CARE values; the position offers medical/dental/vision, retirement contributions, and time off benefits.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience in a similar field.
• Ability to work in a team setting or independently.
• Prioritization and time management skills and adequate communication skills.
• Can pay attention to details.
• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Cleans assigned areas to meet infection control and compliance standards and assists team members in completion of tasks.
• Creates daily job lists and records all serviced rooms; reports any shortages, damages, or security issues.
• Maintains equipment in good condition.
• Handles reasonable guests’ complaints/requests and informs others when required, and fosters an environment that exemplifies the Hospital’s Mission, Vision, and C.A.R.E values.
• Complies with health and safety regulations and abides with company and department policies and licensing laws.
