Medical City Decatur, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking an Environmental Services (EVS) Technician PRN to join a team that prioritizes safety, cleanliness, and a healing environment. You will interact with patients and clinical staff daily while using specialized janitorial tools and methods to maintain sterile, comfortable spaces.

The role emphasizes infection prevention, teamwork, and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Healthcare or service-related industry experience is highly preferred.
• Must have good communication skills with the ability to speak and understand both the written and oral English language.
• Must have the proven ability to work and cooperate with team members and with other departments, as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine cleaning and care for assigned areas such as linen room and waste handling.
• Disinfects patient rooms, offices, restrooms and other public areas daily.
• Removes trash, dirty linen and sharps containers and follows disposal procedures for hazardous waste.
