Job summary

Environmental Services Technician (EVS Tech) at University Health – UH Lakewood is a full-time role operating on the 3:00PM to 11:30PM schedule. You will keep patient rooms and hospital spaces clean, safe, and sanitary, following infection control standards and safety procedures.

Ideal candidates communicate well in English, can lift up to 50 lbs, and are ready to complete competency training within 30–60 days. Prior healthcare environment experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Communication skills in English to interact with staff, patients and visitors.
• Physical strength to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to operate cleaning and floor care equipment safely.
• Willingness to complete training and pass a competency assessment within 30–60 days.
• Attention to detail to follow instructions and maintain cleanliness and safety.

Responsibilities

• Clean and service hospital areas from patient rooms to common spaces per procedures.
• Move furniture, equipment and supplies as needed to set up spaces for functions.
• Maintain sanitation and infection control standards to keep areas safe for all.
• Operate electric and battery-powered floor care equipment to keep floors clean.
• Read cleaning chemical labels and follow safety instructions for safe usage.
