Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Supervisor, Environmental Services to lead day-to-day operations on the Manhattan campus. You will supervise Buildings & Grounds and Waste Management staff, manage schedules, training, performance, and quality assurance to ensure high standards of cleaning and infection control.

You will coordinate vendor performance, review invoices, support the operating budget, and lead emergency response including severe weather and on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Three years of Environmental Services experience with supervisory duties.
• Hospital cleaning operations experience, including infection prevention.
• Experience managing cleaning vendors and service contracts preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Buildings & Grounds and Waste Management staff, including staffing, scheduling and performance.
• Oversee daily Environmental Services operations ensuring high-quality cleaning and infection prevention standards.
• Manage vendor accounts and contracted services, monitor performance and compliance.
• Maintain cleaning specifications and conduct QA inspections to identify deficiencies.
• Coordinate client and stakeholder relationships and resolve service concerns.
• Review vendor invoices and support department budget and asset management.
• Plan staffing and coverage to meet operational needs and emergencies.
• Lead on-call rotations and emergency response planning.
