Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital is seeking Environmental Services Assistants for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts. The role focuses on creating a clean, safe patient environment and supports patient-centered care within a large hospital system.

Ideal candidates are capable of working independently, communicating clearly, and collaborating with a care team. Full-time or part-time opportunities are available, with weekend and holiday rotation included.

Formación

• Interest in housekeeping work demonstrated by previous experience or ability to learn.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions, use care and attention when using equipment.
• Insurable under the hospital plan to be permitted to drive a company vehicle.
• Preferred: High School Diploma or GED.

Responsabilidades

• Clean patient rooms, utility rooms, nourishment rooms, conference rooms, offices, corridors, stairways, locker rooms and restrooms.
• Clean toilets, urinals, sinks and lockers.
• Replenish supplies.
• Collect trash and needles and dispose of them in an appropriate manner.
• Dust ceilings, ceiling vents, TVs, light fixtures, doors, walls, wall hangings and flat surfaces.
• Wash or spot clean walls, cabinets, elevators, counters, desks and windows.
• Clean floors, carpets, floods and body fluids.
• Use and maintain equipment, such as vacuums, buffers, cleaning carts, buckets, wringers, sweeping tools and mops.
• Clean and disinfect beds, stretchers, wheelchairs, IV poles and other items in patient rooms.
• Strip and make beds.
• Transport and move furniture and equipment.
• Report malfunctioning equipment, unsafe conditions and broken items.
