Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to support clinical and distributive services, ensuring safe, cost-effective therapies for patients in a hospital setting. The role emphasizes involvement in clinical programs and regulatory compliance under OK state requirements.

The position requires a PharmD or BS in Pharmacy, Oklahoma licensure, and preferred PGY1 residency or equivalent, with opportunities for advancement and a sign-on bonus. Relocation assistance is available.

Qualifications

Education: BS in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited college of Pharmacy.
Experience: Preferred ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency or equivalent, not required.
Preferred hospital-based clinical pharmacy experience.
Required pharmacist licensure in good standing with the OK State Board of Pharmacy.
Preceptor license with the OK State Board of Pharmacy required upon hire.
ASHP-endorsed PGY1 residency program preceptorship required on hire.
Board-certification in related practice area encouraged.

Responsibilities

Ensures age-appropriate, safe, and cost-effective medication therapies for patients.
Participates in departmental clinical programs as assigned.
Process orders and dispense medications per policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Oversees ACGME accreditation and reporting requirements to external agencies.
Contribute to educational goals of the department.
Enhance pharmacy processes to promote patient safety and outcomes.
