Job summary

Qualifications

• High School or Trade School with welding, basic electricity and mechanics coursework.
• Ability to read blueprints and design parts to fabricate.
• Knowledge of standard maintenance tools and electronic diagnostic tools.
• Understanding of electronic controls and pneumatic systems.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• Three to four years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Observe pumps, motors and conveyors to determine cause of trouble.
• Coordinate repair timing with staff and requisition parts.
• Repair or fabricate parts, replace defective components and adjust devices.
• Install functional/structural parts or modifications.
• Test performance after repairs and ensure safety compliance.
• Weld, braze, solder, and operate hand/drill presses and sheet metal tools.
• Perform electronic repairs by troubleshooting control circuits.
• Maintain a wide range of laundry and patient care equipment and beds.
