Brown University Health seeks a Clinical Equipment Technician to clean, disinfect, and deliver medical equipment and supplies. The role supports record-keeping and re-ordering of supplies for the department within a hospital setting.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and 6 months of related on-the-job training, plus familiarity with Windows maintenance management software to log service records. Position includes on-site work at The Miriam Hospital in Providence, RI.

Competenze

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Six months on-the-job training or equivalent experience.
• Ability to use Windows-based maintenance management program to enter and retrieve service records.

Mansioni

• Deliver clean, disinfected medical equipment, accessories and supplies to clinical units.
• Confirm basic operations of portable equipment and arrange repairs if needed.
• Clean and disinfect returned equipment per policy.
• Perform daily rounds to rotate supplies and oxygen cylinders.
• Document all PCE activities in the Equipment Management system (Maximo).
• Conduct visual inspections and troubleshoot equipment (batteries, cords, hoses).
• Maintain inventory of crash carts and replenish supplies; manage code cart exchanges.
• Keep storage rooms clean and organized.
• Assist with department procedures changes and communicate issues.
• Coordinate removal of malfunctioning equipment with Medical Engineering.
