Brown University Health seeks a skilled Plumber/Steam Technician to manage the repair, maintenance, renovations and construction of plumbing and steam systems across the hospital and related facilities in East Providence, RI. The role requires operating boiler plant equipment under supervision, aligning with our core values of Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Excellence.

The position demands ensuring safety, quality assurance, and compliance with hospital policies, with a day shift (M-F)

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent; knowledge of building codes.
• Rhode Island plumbing, steam fitting and sprinkler licenses required.
• 3–5 years of related experience required.

Mansioni

• Performs, oversees and inspects all plumbing, steam and heating work.
• Coordinates shut-downs for repairs with the manager/Foreman.
• Investigates defects and corrects leaks, blockages and problems.
• Repairs water and steam equipment as per work orders or emergencies.
• Reads blueprints to determine layouts and quantities; estimates materials and costs.
• Maintains inventory of frequently used materials.
