Job summary

Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff, AR is seeking an Environmental Technician for the 2nd shift to support the Environmental Services Department.

The role involves basic disinfecting and cleaning of the facility, plus removal of waste and disposal of equipment and furniture. Collaboration with hospital staff may be required, with flexibility to adjust schedules as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year of cleaning experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Previous experience in a healthcare facility or commercial cleaning role preferred.
• Knowledge of hospital infection control procedures preferred.
• Must be able to follow all rules and policies within the organization and department.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.
• This position is a Safety Sensitive Position.

Responsibilities

• Environmental Tech is responsible for the basic disinfecting and cleaning of the facility.
• Removal of regular waste and medical waste, along with handling boxes and disposal of equipment and furniture.
