Job summary

Jefferson Regional Main Hospital in Pine Bluff, AR is seeking an Environmental Technician on the 1st shift to support cleaning and disinfection of the facility. This full-time, non-management role involves removing medical waste, disposing of equipment and furniture, and following infection control procedures to maintain a safe environment for staff, patients, and visitors.

Applicants should have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and prior cleaning experience in a hospital or healthcare

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year of cleaning experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Experience in healthcare facility or commercial cleaning preferred.
• Knowledge of hospital infection control procedures preferred.
• Must follow all organization and department rules.

Job Summary:

Environmental Tech is responsible for the basic disinfecting and cleaning of the facility. This position is also responsible for removal of a regular wasted and medical waste alone with boxes and the disposal of equipment and furniture.

Environmental Technician Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year of cleaning experience in a hospital setting preferred
• Previous experience in a healthcare facility or commercial cleaning role preferred.
• Knowledge of hospital infection control procedures preferred.
• Must be able to follow all rules and policies within the organization and department.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment
