Responsibilities

• Following Infection Control Policies, maintains a clean, sanitary, safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.
• Cleans occupied patient rooms and rooms between patients following procedures.
• Cleans other assigned areas within the Patient Care Units.
• Disposes of waste and soiled linen following departmental procedures.
• Uses approved cleaning chemicals to maintain area cleanliness.
• Uses proper body mechanics when moving furniture and equipment.
• Completes training for Medications and Auxiliary Staff Competency.
• Responds to emergencies following established procedures.
