Job summary

You will perform floor care, waste handling, linen processing, spill cleanup, and general cleaning in accordance with infection control standards and hospital policies, with regular day shifts and reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in environmental services, housekeeping, custodial work, or hospital facility maintenance.
• Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures and chemicals.
• Ability to follow infection-control policies and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform floor care tasks (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, waxing) and ensure safety.
• Collect, remove, and dispose of waste per policy, including regulated materials.
• Handle and process soiled linens; replace with clean bags.
• Clean and sanitize patient rooms, restrooms, hallways and common areas.
• Respond to spills and perform disinfection per guidelines.
• Move furniture and equipment for cleaning or maintenance as needed.
• Monitor supplies usage and store/dispense safely.
• Report maintenance and repair needs to supervisor.
• Maintain cleaning logs and document completed tasks.
• Perform other duties; maintain reliable attendance.
• Comply with all hospital policies and standards.
