Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking an Environmental Services Technician II at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL. The role involves daily cleaning of patient rooms and ancillary areas, including isolation/terminal cleaning and handling of equipment, to uphold patient care quality and hospital standards.

You will follow safety guidelines for cleaning chemicals, manage supplies, and communicate with the area manager to ensure responsiveness and excellent service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous hospital experience preferred.
• Knowledge of proper body mechanics.
• Ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Strong organizational skills and multitasking.
• Ability to work on call and overtime including holidays.

Responsibilities

• Clean patient rooms and ancillary areas daily per standards.
• Handle isolation/terminal cleaning and equipment cleaning.
• Dispose of soiled linens and waste; empty sharps containers.
• Mix and use cleaning chemicals safely and according to instructions.
• Keep housekeeping carts and equipment clean and orderly.
• Communicate daily with area manager to resolve concerns and uphold standards.
• Report needed repairs to equipment, furniture, walls or fixtures.
• Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
