Job summary

Wellstar Health System is hiring a Day Shift Housekeeper – Environmental Services Technician. This full-time role runs 11 am to 7:30 pm, Monday through Friday with every other weekend, in our Georgia hospitals.

You will perform patient room cleaning, waste handling, PPE usage, and follow infection prevention protocols to support safe, high-quality care. Training is provided and benefits are included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; certifications upon hire.
• English fluency; read/write simple instructions.
• Customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.
• Training program completed within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform restroom and patient room cleaning per protocol.
• Handle waste and recyclables safely following guidelines.
• Use PPE correctly and maintain safety.
• Operate cleaning equipment and UV light devices as trained.
• Document tasks and adapt to staffing changes.
