Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking an Evening Shift Housekeeper - Environmental Services Tech for Full Time hours (Evenings 6 p.m. – 2:30 a.m.). The role involves cleaning patient rooms and hospital areas, adhering to infection control protocols, and maintaining safety standards across departments such as OR suites and labs.

Training will cover departmental procedures and safety practices. Candidate must have a High School Diploma or GED, fluent English, and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Fluent English required; able to read, write and understand simple instructions in English.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills emphasized across duties.
• Experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform full range of bathroom and patient room cleaning following specific protocols.
• Follow infection prevention protocols and correctly select cleaning chemicals.
• Handle waste, linen, and PPE properly according to guidelines.
• Ensure safe use of Ultra Violet Light devices and proper waste container management.
• Document daily tasks and adapt to staff shortages while maintaining bed/patient flow in Epic.
