Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking an organized Housekeeper for a day shift (11:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.), full-time, to support hospital cleaning operations across patient areas and facilities.

You will follow cleaning protocols, transport waste, and maintain safety standards while delivering courteous service to patients and staff. Training is provided, with a focus on infection prevention and proper PPE use.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in English and able to read, write, and understand simple instructions.
• Completion of the Departmental Training Program within 30 days of employment is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs full range of restroom and patient room cleaning following room-type protocols.
• Handles waste removal and proper disposal of regulated materials.
• Uses PPE correctly and follows lifting and safety procedures.
• Maintains infection prevention practices and uses required cleaning chemicals.
