Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking an Environmental Services Technician in Matthews, NC to perform thorough cleaning of assigned areas, including floors, windows, and restrooms. This full-time role offers a 7:00am–3:30pm schedule with EOW and a pay range of $18.85–$28.30 per hour.

Starting pay begins at $18.85/hour, with eligibility for Prepaid College Tuition Assistance, wellness incentives, parental leave, and comprehensive health benefits.

Qualifications

• Preferred: High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Preferred: One year experience
• Can prioritize assignments to complete work in a timely manner
• Can operate equipment
• Can establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers

Responsibilities

• Performs complete cleaning of assigned areas to include, but not limited to: Dusting and sanitizing furniture, equipment, mirrors and fixtures
• Washing windows, walls, ceilings, vents and light fixtures
• Sweeping, scrubbing and refinishing floors
• Vacuuming and shampooing carpet
• Re-stocking restrooms
• Replacing light bulbs
• Reporting repairs
• Most of the work is indoors but may assist with outdoor cleaning including parking lot, windows, and roof
• Heavy contact with cleaning chemicals, disinfecting agents, floor strippers and finishes
• Removes waste by collecting and transporting soiled linen, emptying trash containers, changing sharps containers, transporting solid and hazardous waste to compactors, recycling material
• Keeps equipment clean and orderly and reports equipment failures
• Maintains safe working environment and provides quality service by complying with procedures, rules and regulations, infection control guidelines, and meeting departmental quality standards
• Attends all required in-service education and training classes including safety update programs to maintain technical knowledge
• Consistently demonstrates the ability to meet time schedules and deadlines
