Job summary

LewisGale Medical Center in Salem, VA is seeking an Environmental Services/Housekeeping team member to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors and staff. You will perform daily cleaning tasks in assigned areas with attention to infection control.

Key duties include sanitizing floors, walls, bathrooms and patient rooms, following safety and lifting guidelines. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
• At least 1 year Environmental Services or Housekeeping experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform daily and periodic cleaning tasks in assigned areas to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.
• Sanitize floors, walls, windows, doors, fixtures, furnishings, stairways, elevators, entrances/exits, bathrooms and patient rooms.
• Follow Infection Control policies, proper lifting techniques and body mechanics.
• Adapt to changing needs as determined by Environmental Services Leadership.
