Job summary

Pullman Regional Hospital is seeking an Environmental Services Worker to maintain cleanliness and sanitation across hospital facilities. The role supports infection prevention and patient safety, requiring attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

The position offers an evening schedule (2:30–11:00pm) with options for additional shifts. Prior custodial experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a commitment to a hygienic environment are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness/hygiene standards.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors, corridors, and patient rooms.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and floors, and ensure supplies are stocked.
• Dispose of trash and medical waste per hospital policies and procedures.
• Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces like door handles and light switches.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies; report maintenance or safety hazards.
• Assist with special cleaning projects (floor waxing, carpet shampooing, deep cleaning) as needed.
• Follow safety regulations and use PPE; maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
