Job summary

Forefront is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to keep patient and public areas clean, safe, and welcoming in a healthcare environment. You will follow infection prevention protocols, operate cleaning equipment, and support housekeeping operations under supervision.

The role is full-time, non-exempt, with an hourly pay rate. Prior experience in healthcare or hospitality is preferred, and good teamwork and time management are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in environmental services, hospitality, or healthcare preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, infection prevention, and safety standards.
• Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and manage time effectively.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitizing of patient/resident rooms, public areas, and workspaces according to organizational standards.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies safely and efficiently.
• May perform laundry duties, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and delivering linens and uniforms.
• Follow infection prevention and safety protocols, including OSHA, CMS, and TJC standards.
• Assist in setting up rooms, moving furniture, and performing light maintenance as needed.
• Report maintenance issues, supply needs, or safety concerns to the Supervisor.
• Document completed work and adhere to departmental checklists and quality standards.
• Participate in training, staff meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives.
