Job summary

Mercy Gilbert Medical Center in Gilbert, AZ is seeking an Environmental Service Technician to maintain a clean, hygienic and aesthetically pleasing care environment, interfacing with patients, visitors and staff. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily occupied and discharge/transfer cleaning and disinfection of patient care areas, equipment, and common areas.
• Demonstrate knowledge of healthcare cleaning and disinfection principles; ensure safe chemical handling and equipment use.
• Maintain cleaning carts, supplies and equipment; dispose of waste per regulations (regulated medical, recycle, solid, hazardous).
• Follow infection prevention practices including hand hygiene and PPE procedures.
