Job summary

Yale New Haven Health’s Bridgeport Hospital is hiring a Environmental Services Cleaner to support a patient-centered care environment. You will perform daily cleaning of patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, restrooms, clinics, corridors and other areas following established schedules and safety procedures.

You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, speak English clearly, pass pre-employment screenings and complete training to safely use cleaning supplies and equipment.

Qualifications

• Must understand and speak English sufficiently for safe performance.
• Must pass all pre-employment screenings as required.
• Ability to use cleaning supplies and equipment properly after training.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Cleans patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges and restrooms.
• Cleans clinics, corridors, stairwells, elevators and other areas.
• Maintains cleanliness and reports repair needs as needed.
• Follows safety and infection control procedures at all times.
