Job summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking an Environmental Services Technician at Bridgeport Hospital to perform daily cleaning of patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, restrooms, and other areas, following standard infection control procedures.

Under supervision, you will maintain cleanliness and safety, handle cleaning chemicals properly, and ensure high-quality workmanship. The role requires English proficiency and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must pass all pre-employment screenings as required by the client.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily cleaning of patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, restrooms, offices, clinic areas, corridors, stairwells, elevators, and any other assigned area.
• Uses cleaning chemicals safely, measures and dilutes as trained, and maintains equipment and work stations.
• Inspects own work for quality and adheres to infection control procedures.
