Job summary

Bridgeport Hospital, part of Yale New Haven Health, is seeking a dedicated EVS Technician to support patient-centered care through thorough cleaning and sanitation of patient rooms, lounges, and work areas. Under supervision, you will follow standard infection control procedures, operate cleaning equipment, and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

High school diploma preferred; English proficiency required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must understand and speak English sufficiently for safe performance.
• Must pass pre-employment screenings.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning of patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, restrooms, offices, clinic areas, corridors, stairwells, elevators, and any other assigned area.
• Clean in accordance with standard cleaning and infection control procedures.
• Maintain equipment and report repairs or safety issues to supervisor.
• Attend scheduled meetings and in-services as directed.
