Job summary

OakLeaf Surgical Hospital in Altoona, WI is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to maintain a clean, safe environment across patient rooms, operating areas, and public spaces. The role emphasizes infection prevention, proper waste handling, and adherence to safety protocols.

Hours are 40 hours weekly, 11:00am - 7:30pm, Monday-Friday, on-site at Altoona, WI. The technician will disinfect rooms, manage supplies, complete logs, and support department improvements while complying with HIPAA

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the U.S.
• Prior hospital cleaning experience preferred
• Must possess a cell phone that interfaces with the organization’s secure message system

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect rooms, furniture, equipment and other areas per procedures
• Remove waste and dispose correctly by stream
• Restock supplies in various areas
• Maintain logs and checklists up to date
• Contribute to patient safety and cleanliness improvements
• Follow infection prevention protocols and PPE procedures
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to calls
• Use secure messaging platform per department protocol
• Perform other duties as assigned
