Melrose/Wakefield Hospital, part of Tufts Medicine, is seeking an entry-level Environmental Services role focused on housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe patient environment. The position emphasizes routine cleaning, sanitation, waste disposal, and routine equipment operation under supervision.

The role offers full-time hours (40/wk) with an evening shift 3pm-11:30pm, every other weekend and holiday rotation, at 585 Lebanon St, Melrose, MA.

Qualifications

• One year of related housekeeping or environmental services experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, orderly environment in patient areas, offices, clinics, and common spaces.
• Keep cleaning cart stocked with supplies and handle waste disposal.
• Disinfect bathrooms and patient rooms; ensure supplies and linens are replenished.
• Transport linen and assist with basic setup for events or functions as needed.
• Operate heavy cleaning equipment safely and report issues to supervisor.
