Job summary

Parkland Health is seeking an Environmental Services Associate to maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe hospital environment at the Main Campus. You will perform cleaning duties across patient areas and common spaces, ensuring timely room turnover and high sanitation standards.

You will follow written and oral directions, learn department cleaning techniques within ninety days, and collaborate with hospital staff to promote excellent service and patient comfort.

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow both oral and written directions.
• Must be able to demonstrate sanitation techniques, and the use of cleaning materials; OR, be able to learn the department's techniques and use of cleaning materials within a ninety-day period.

Responsibilities

• Cleans assigned areas to assure a clean, sanitary and safe environment for patients, staff and visitors; duties may include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, bed area cleaning, floor buffing and detail work.
• Responds to bed tracking system to ensure rooms are cleaned after patient discharge for rapid turnover to new patients.
• Maintains proper use and care of environmental services materials and equipment; notifies supervisor for supplies, maintenance or repairs as needed.
