Job summary

Mercy Health in Urbana, IL is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services associate to maintain a safe, clean environment across patient care areas. You will perform cleaning per schedule, handle waste and soiled linens, and assist in safety and infection control practices.

This role requires a High School Diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license. Training will cover chemical handling, PPE usage, and terminal cleaning of patient rooms.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid State of Ohio driver's license (Springfield Urbana) required.
• CHEST Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean and dust-free environment to assist in infection control.
• Performs terminal cleaning procedures of patient rooms and prepares room for new patient.
• Attends all mandatory and assigned meetings.
