Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an Environmental Services Associate to perform thorough cleaning of patient and common areas on the 2nd shift. The role requires handling cleaning chemicals safely and ensuring a sanitary environment throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

• Performs complete cleaning of assigned areas including dusting, sanitizing, washing, floor care, restrooms restocking and light bulb replacement.
• Handles cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, floor finishes, and equipment; indoor work with potential outdoor cleaning.
• Removes waste and hazardous materials; transports soiled linen and trash as needed.
• Keeps equipment clean and reports malfunctions to maintenance staff.
• Maintains a safe environment and adheres to infection control guidelines and quality standards.
• Attends in-service education and safety trainings to maintain technical knowledge.
• Meets time schedules and deadlines consistently.
