Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an EVS Supervisor for the 1st shift at Advocate Christ Medical Center. You will oversee environmental services operations, ensure safety and clean environments, and lead the team to meet service levels.

Responsibilities include staffing, training, compliance with infection prevention guidelines, and coordinating with hospital leadership to maintain high-quality patient and staff environments.

Qualifications

• Strong management and interpersonal skills essential for supervising a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with all levels of staff and leadership.
• Basic computer skills including basic data entry and email usage.

Responsibilities

• Ensure infection prevention practices to maintain a safe environment.
• Adhere to local, state, and federal guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Perform quality measurement and improvement initiatives to meet outcomes.
• Provide consistent cleanliness and customer service that meet patient expectations.
• Drive department operations, staffing, workflow, and throughput for productivity and service quality.
• Monitor staffing and resources to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
• Coach staff on performance, conduct reviews, and manage hiring and discipline.
