Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an Environmental Services supervisor for the Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Illinois. The role leads Environmental Services and Linen staff, coordinates scheduling, training, and performance reviews, and ensures compliance with safety and hospital policies.

The position includes supervision, staff development, and collaboration with infection control and safety teams. The incumbent will oversee daily operations, manage resources, and participate in safety rounds

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years leadership experience in a service department (hospital setting preferred).
• Good supervisory skills in scheduling, planning, evaluating, training and coaching Environmental Services Associates required.
• Good skills in identifying and resolving conflicts constructively.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; strong organizational and prioritizing skills; detail-oriented and results-driven.

Responsibilities

• Inspects work in progress and upon completion for quality and timeliness.
• Conducts new associate training and department orientation.
• Monitors bed board and uses teletracking; ensures timely cleaning of rooms for admissions/transfers.
• Plans and supervises day-to-day operations of the Environmental Services and Linen Department.
• Prepares timecards and maintains attendance records; schedules and assigns staff.
