Job summary

Arnot Health in Elmira's St. Joe's Hospital Environmental Services is seeking a Housekeeper to perform cleaning and linen tasks across hospital areas. You will move furniture, operate floor machines and ensure sanitary conditions, with a 20-hour weekly schedule and days from Monday through Sunday.

Applicants should be able to read and follow written instructions; a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. The role offers $17.00–$22.10 per hour and is part of the Centralus Health System.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and understand both verbal and written instructions.
• Preferred High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and services Arnot Health areas, moves furniture, equipment and supplies in and around the hospital in an orderly and sanitary manner.
• Must be able to transport and set up furniture for meetings, run small extractors, floor machines and small burnishers.
• Loads linen and microfiber carts and bins to predetermined par levels and completes deliveries at scheduled times.
• Completes all functions associated with the linen processes.
• Collects soiled linen and soiled microfiber products from designated areas and delivers to the soiled holding area.
• Completes all functions associated with the soiled linen processes.
• Must be able to clean the Morgue after an autopsy has been performed and the major portion has been cleaned.
