Job summary

OhioHealth Environmental Services is seeking a team member to perform hospital cleaning and maintenance tasks during the day shift. You will handle incoming work orders, move furniture as needed, and ensure all areas are cleaned to standard while maintaining proper paperwork and record-keeping.

You will stock carts, assist with linen distribution, and participate in storeroom duties as required. A strong focus on customer service to patients and staff is essential in this role within our

Qualifications

• No degree or diploma required.
• 16- and 17-year-old individuals may be considered with a valid work permit.
• HS diploma/GED preferred for individuals over 18 and not in high school.

Responsibilities

• 40% Obtains assigned cleaning or maintenance requests from automated systems, daily sheets, or verbal direction and completes duties including moving beds or furniture as needed, while following department processes and monitoring paperwork.
• 20% Follows directions and uses all equipment properly; ensures cleanliness and notifies areas through work orders to maintain equipment and items hospital-wide.
• 10% Keeps all carts and areas stocked to operating levels; linen distribution included in stocking duties.
• 10% Willing to perform other duties, including storeroom maintenance, to meet cleanliness and safety standards.
• 20% Delivers a high level of customer service to patients and all customers within the OhioHealth system.
