Job summary

Smart Hires Corporation is seeking a full-time Environmental Services professional in Hayward, CA to maintain aseptically clean patient areas and support hospital operations. You will follow standard precautions, dispose of waste properly, and assist with linen and supply handling across patient areas and OR.

The role requires English communication, familiarity with OSHA/JACHO standards, and strong time management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Four years of environmental service experience in an acute care environment preferred.
• Ability to communicate and understand oral and written instructions in English.
• Familiar with OSHA and JACHO standards.
• Familiar with use of PPE, housekeeping supplies, and equipment.
• Problem-solving, leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Employees must demonstrate basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Clean all areas as assigned to keep the environment aseptically clean, orderly, and safe.
• Properly dispose of soiled linens and medical waste according to policy.
• Assist with trash, linen, and supply handling across patient areas, OR, and offices.
• Ensure area cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, disinfecting sinks and surfaces daily.
• Works safely using standard precautions and follows hospital safety procedures.
