Job summary

Shriners Children's is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services Technician to maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff at our Boston location. You will follow infection control protocols, perform routine cleaning tasks, and ensure supplies are stocked and equipment is stored properly.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of environmental services or laundry experience. Compensation is determined by experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of environmental services or laundry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning routines for scheduled areas, including corners, baseboards, and windows.
• Conduct advanced floor care such as spray cleaning and buffing as directed.
• Replenish disposables like paper towels, soap, tissue and toilet paper daily.
• Know and use cleaning chemicals with correct mixing ratios; follow safety procedures.
• Follow hospital safety policies and report unsafe conditions to management.
• Operate, clean, and store cleaning equipment properly.
• Handle linen: pickup soiled linen and distribute clean linen per schedule.
• Assist with ordering linen for the laundry department.
