Job summary

Wentworth-Douglass Hospital is seeking an on-site, per diem Custodian to perform cleaning and sanitizing tasks, manage waste disposal, and operate floor care equipment. You will ensure areas are sanitary, organized, and compliant with infection control guidelines while contributing to a safe hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• 0-1 year related cleaning experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe application required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize areas according to infection control guidelines.
• Dispose of waste streams properly.
• Move furniture and supplies to support department needs.
• Operate floor machines and buffers as assigned.
• Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary patient and non-patient areas.
• Attend at least eight unit/department meetings annually.
