Job summary

Exeter Hospital is seeking a Housekeeper for the Day shift on a Per Diem basis in Exeter, NH. Responsibilities include cleaning all areas, floor care, wall/window cleaning, waste handling, linen distribution, and supply management.

The role may involve training new hires and responding to bed tracker/beeper calls per facility protocols. Required are the ability to follow oral and written instructions and prior experience (0–6 months acceptable).

Qualifications

• 0–6 months experience in housekeeping or related role.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Clean all assigned areas and floors using vacuuming, dry mopping and damp mopping.
• Perform wall washing and window cleaning.
• Handle waste removal including general, biohazard/infectious, sharps and confidential waste.
• Issue, deliver, and remove linens according to protocols and document issues.
• Maintain and replenish supplies and organize carts/closets per protocols.
• May provide job training for new hires.
• May monitor bed tracker/beeper and respond to calls in a timely manner.
• Report aesthetic issues, repairs, and defective equipment to manager.
