The position is PRN as needed, non-benefited, with day shifts and weekend rotation. Training will cover safety, waste handling, and hospital cleaning protocols to support a high standard of care.

Qualifications

• Fluent English mandatory for communication with patients, staff and visitors.
• High school diploma or GED required; certifications upon hire if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize patient rooms, restrooms, and associated areas per hospital protocols.
• Handle waste streams and recyclables following safety guidelines.
• Use PPE correctly and follow lifting and safety procedures.
• Follow infection prevention protocols and proper chemical usage for cleaning tasks.
• Operate or follow proper procedures for UV-C disinfection equipment where applicable.
• Adhere to Wellstar policies and maintain professional patient and family interactions.
