Job summary

Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital Fort Smith is seeking a dependable Housekeeper to help maintain a clean and safe patient environment. You will clean patient rooms and common areas following CDC Infection Control guidelines, stock supplies, and ensure all areas are sanitary and well maintained.

The role requires good communication with patients, visitors, and hospital staff, and includes weekend shifts on a rotating schedule. This position is part of Lifepoint Health’s network of facilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Previous Clinical Housekeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate with patients, visitors and other hospital staff.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned areas thoroughly ensuring the hospital meets CDC guidelines for Infection Controls.
• Stock assigned area with basic supplies, including linen, soiled linen bags, paper towels, soap, sanitizer, and toilet paper.
• Vacuum, sweep, high dust, mop, sanitize all furniture in patient rooms or common areas; clean walls, vents, windows; perform other cleaning duties as needed.
• Must be able to work every other weekend.
