Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a diligent housekeeping associate to maintain a clean and safe hospital environment in the MedStar National Rehabilitation Network. The role requires adherence to policies and OSHA regulations while handling chemical agents.

Responsibilities include linen distribution, waste removal, cleaning all areas, and reporting issues to supervisors. Requires high school diploma or GED and prior hospital housekeeping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Distributes clean linen to appropriate areas.
• Removes soiled linen from utility rooms.
• Dusts, mops and sanitizes patient rooms, restrooms, offices, utility rooms and common areas using appropriate solutions.
• Empty trash and move waste to appropriate areas within the hospital.
• Cleans, waxes and polishes floors by hand or machine.
• Vacuums carpeted areas.
• Moves furniture and supplies as directed.
• Reports repairs or malfunctions to EVS Director or Group Leader.
• Clean spills promptly and safely.
