Job summary

Lexington Health in West Columbia, SC seeks a committed Environmental Services worker to perform a full range of cleaning tasks across hospital areas to maintain a healthy, safe environment for patients and staff.

Responsibilities include bed cleaning, following care protocols, and supporting department operations, with opportunities to participate in in-service education and safety training.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, understand, and carry out written guidelines, procedures and other material.
• Must be able to interpret and follow labeled directions for cleaning products and items.
• Must be able to comprehend and carry out verbal and written instructions to complete tasks on time.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned cleaning tasks in patient areas, units, and supportive spaces to maintain cleanliness.
• Respond to bed cleaning needs and assist with bed tracking and related tasks.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures in all areas.
• Assist with moving furniture, setup for events, and handling cleaning supplies and equipment.
