Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking an Environmental Services staff member to clean offices and department areas, remove trash, and maintain a safe, clean environment. The role supports a respectful culture and contributes to patient care in a large health system.

Under the supervision of the Environmental Services Supervisor, duties include high dusting, damp wiping, mopping, vacuuming, bathroom cleaning, and supporting project work as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous environmental services experience preferred; ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Cleans assigned rooms and areas to insure a clean, safe and attractive environment.
• Collects and disposes of trash and soiled linen daily.
• Stocks and distributes the clean linen.
• Completes assigned schedule of duties making efficient use of work time.
• Projects a positive service attitude while on duty, responding to requests promptly and professionally.
